Now Volkswagen and Alfa Romeo Certified
Bavarian Body Works is proud to announce that we are now a certified collision repair facility for Volkswagen as well as Alfa Romeo. Both certifications require a rigorous approval process to verify training, equipment, and procedures.
One of five in metro Atlanta
With our Volkswagen certification, we are now one of only five certified Volkswagen collision repair facilities in the 13-county, Atlanta metropolitan area, and one of only seven in the entire state of Georgia. To receive the certification, Volkswagen requires that collisions centers have special spot-welding, frame repair, and measurement equipment, as well as paint booths that meet the manufacturer’s specifications. Our technicians also had to go through specific spot-welding training. The entire certification process took six months, at the end of which we received a final audit score of 97%!
The Alfa Romeo certification is part of the Fiat Chrysler Automobiles program. To receive this program certification, a repair shop must go through a detailed application and evaluation process as well as an on-site inspection and audit. Not only are certified repair facilities required to have specific technical repair capabilities, but they must also meet customer service standards, such as high-quality waiting areas and safe parking.
Meeting manufacturer specs and safety guidelines
Manufacturer certifications give a body shop access to dealer-level systems and documentation, and signify technicians have received the most current, preferred manufacturer training. These accreditations were created to assure repairs meet manufacturer specifications and safety guidelines, and should reassure an automobile owner that their car is being returned in pre-accident condition.
While no collision center can have certifications from all automobile manufacturers, you should choose one that has multiple endorsements. If a body shop does not have certification from your automobile manufacturer, it may be because one doesn’t exist. Multiple certifications imply the overall high quality of repair you can expect from the repair shop, regardless of whether the facility carries approval from your vehicle’s manufacturer.

In addition to Volkswagen and Alfa Romeo, Bavarian Body Works has been certified by ProFirst (Acura and Honda), Fiat-Chrysler, GM, Hyundai, Infiniti, and Nissan. We have also met all requirements for two industry-wide certifications: I-Car and Assured Performance.
